Bryce Canyon Camping Trip Oct. 2007

It's a tepee alright. Playing in the fire is everyone's favorite part. We spent most of our time making our meals or cleaning them up. Once it got dark, though, it was cold. Infact our drinking water froze overnight, but we managed to stay toasty under our sleeping bags.

The view is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to going back sometime when I can hike around without listening to how everyone's legs are sore and "are we done yet."

Top of Utah--Logan Marathon

It's 4:30 in the morning. Ross is getting ready to leave the hotel room and catch a bus to the race start up the mountain. Is that a nervous smile?
He 's out of the canyon now, over half way finished and going strong.

Around mile 20 he starts passing people like they are standing still. Going stronger all the time.

The woman behind the camera (Jenn) is crying. All Done! He did it.
The time on the clock ends up being about a minute slow. Ross' chip timer automatically starts him when he crosses the start line, which was about a minute after the leaders.
He officially finishes just under 6 hours.

Let's get this party started!

I did it!
